TAMCC Extends Helping Hand to Fire Victims of Chantimelle, St. Patrick

In the wake of a devastating fire that resulted in 17 persons from five (5) households being displaced, the T. A. Marryshow Community College immediately embarked upon an initiative to extend a compassionate hand of support. In a heartwarming display of unity, members of the college community and other well-wishers rallied together to provide much needed assistance to those impacted by the tragedy. The outpouring support resulted in the collection of essential items such as clothing, groceries, and toiletries.

The College is pleased to announce the successful culmination of the heartfelt donation drive which was coordinated by the Office of Resource Mobilisation. On Friday 5th April 2024 Ms. Selma Thomas, Director of the. Patrick’s Campus, accompanied by other College employees handed over the donated items to the St. Patrick’s West Constituency Office for redistribution to the intended beneficiaries.

The initiative continued to form part of the College’s corporate social responsibility. Similar efforts were undertaken in the past to support victims of Hurricane Maria in Dominica and the Dominica State College. The College is thankful to all donors and remains committed to fostering a culture of support and compassion within our community and will continue to strive to make positive impacts both on and off its campuses.
