We are proud to share that Grenada’s Culinary Team delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Taste of the Caribbean competition, held from 16–18 November in Barbados. Competing among top culinary teams from across the region, Grenada earned an impressive silver medal, marking a significant achievement for the island’s culinary community.
This year’s success was especially meaningful for us, as our very own culinary lecturer served as the team leader, guiding the group with skill, dedication, and passion. The team included some of Grenada’s finest talents: Team Captain Chef Andre Church, Chef Belinda Bishop, Senior Chef Elvis George, Junior Chef Rashid Cromwell, Pastry Chef Sasha Lessey, and Mixologist Antonio Bayne, all supported under the leadership of GHTA CEO Arlene Friday.
The Taste of the Caribbean competition, organized by the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association, brought together chefs from 12 Caribbean nations to showcase regional flavors, creativity, and culinary excellence. CEO Arlene Friday expressed pride in seeing the national team re-established and celebrated for its strong representation of Grenada’s rich culinary heritage.
We congratulate the entire team on this remarkable accomplishment and celebrate the leadership of our lecturer, whose guidance played a key role in Grenada bringing home the silver. This achievement truly highlights the strength, creativity, and passion within TAMCC’s Tourism and Hospitality Department.
