On Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the Confucius Institute at TAMCC joined in celebrating the annual Chinese festival Chong Yang, a cultural event dedicated to honouring and showing appreciation for senior citizens. In observance of this tradition, representatives from the Institute visited three homes within the St. George’s area: Richmond Hill Home for the Elderly, Chichester’s Nursing Home, and Grand Anse Home for the Aged.
During the visits, the team presented donations of toiletries to the institutions. They also interacted warmly with the residents and serenaded them with a musical piece, creating moments of joy and connection. This gesture aimed to support the ongoing care of the residents and express goodwill to the elderly community. The initiative reflects the Confucius Institute’s continued commitment to fostering cultural exchange and community service in Grenada.
