Grenada Campus Analysis – CAPE 2025
The T.A. Marryshow Community College wishes to announce that it has received the 2025 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) preliminary results from the Caribbean Examinations Council. It was noted that in 2025 there was an overall pass rate of 93.52 % while there was an overall pass rate of 93.03 % % in 2024.
The CAPE 2025 Unit 1 percentage pass was 92.92 % as compared to 92.72 % in 2024. The 2025 Unit 1 CAPE Examination results have revealed that a total of fifty -four (54) Grade One’s were achieved in thirteen (13) subject areas compared to forty -four (44) Grade One’s in twelve (12) subject areas in 2024. A Grade One denotes excellent performance by students. Grade One’s were obtained in the Unit 1 2025 CAPE Examinations in: Accounting (2), Applied Mathematics (3), Art & Design (1), Biology (6), Chemistry (6), Communication Studies (3), Geography (2), Integrated Mathematics (4), Law (3), Physics (9), Pure Mathematics (12), Sociology (2) and Spanish (1).
There were nine (9) subjects for the 2025 Unit 1 CAPE Examinations which recorded 100 % passes, namely, Art & Design, Caribbean Studies, Environmental Science, Geography, Integrated Mathematics, Literatures in English, Physics, Sociology and Spanish. Other 2025 Unit 1 CAPE subjects with commendable performances were: Chemistry (91.18 %), Communication Studies (96.05 %), Economics (94.59 %), Entrepreneurship (91.67 %), Law (96.00 %), Management of Business (90.00 %) and Pure Mathematics (92.86).
The CAPE 2025 Unit 2 percentage pass was 94.46 % as compared to 93.45 % in 2024. The 2025 Unit 2 CAPE Examination results have shown that fifty-one (51) Grade One’s were achieved in ten (10) subject areas compared tothat of fifty-three (53) Grade in eleven (11) subject areas in 2024. Grade One’s in 2025 Unit 2 CAPE Examinations were obtained in: Applied Mathematics (4), Biology (1), Chemistry (4), Economics (1), Environmental Science (1), Geography (1), Law (3), Physics (16), Pure Mathematics (17) and Sociology (3).
One hundred percent passes for the 2025 Unit 2 CAPE Examinations were recorded in ten (10) units, namely, Applied Mathematics, Art & Design, Biology, Environmental Science, French, Geography, Literatures in English, Physics, Pure Mathematics and Spanish. Other 2025 Unit 2 CAPE subjects with commendable performances were: Chemistry (90.48 %), Economics (95.65 %), Management of Business (96.30 %) and Sociology (96.30 %).

In 2025, the total subject entries were 1089 of which 299 were males and 790 were females. The male pass rate was 92.03 % whereas the female was 94.11 %.
A total of 359 students from the Tanteen Campus of the T.A. Marryshow Community College wrote the 2025 CAPE Examinations in twenty-one (21) subject areas, compared to a total of 317 students in twenty-one (21) subject areas in 2024.
