TAMCC Recognises Dr. Randy Glean for his Contributions

In a showcase of appreciation, the leadership of the T. A. Marryshow Community College formally recognized the extraordinary contributions of Dr. Randy Glean, Associate Vice President in the Center for Global Studies at Western Illinois University, for his over three decades of dedicated service in expanding scholarship opportunities for students in Grenada and the wider Caribbean region.

Principal Andrew Abraham, on behalf of the College’s Council and the Senior Management Team, presented Dr. Glean with a commemorative plaque to symbolize his invaluable contributions to global connectivity and educational opportunity. His work has helped hundreds of Grenadian students pursue higher education through scholarship programmes in the United States.

“Dr. Glean’s tireless efforts not only expanded access and provided quality education but fostered cultural exchanges, academic excellence and long-term development for countless young people” Principal Abraham stated. “His work really exemplifies the power of education as a tool for empowerment.”

The recognition was done during the 2025 USA and Canada University Scholarship Forum held at the College on June 13, 2025 during which students had the opportunity to learn about admission requirements and scholarship opportunities of Universities in the USA and Canada. This occasion also marks Dr. Glean’s final scholarship information trip.

TAMCC extends well wishes to Dr. Glean as he embarks on a new phase of his life’s journey. The College remains committed to embracing opportunities to support initiatives that promote equitable access to education for its students and looks forward to continuing the work he has started.
