Applications are invited to fill the post of Director of Student Affairs at the College. The holder of the post is directly responsible to the Deputy Principal for the successful performance of their duties.
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
1. To supervise the staff of the Department;
2. To provide counseling services to students;
3. To plan and implement a comprehensive annual programme of student activities;
4. To coordinate and monitor work plans for each member of the Department;
5. To coordinate a system that provides advice to all students of the College;
6. To enforce the policies and procedures of the Department and the College;
7. To prepare an annual budget of the Department;
8. To conduct formal appraisals for the staff of the Department;
9. To evaluate the Department’s programmes periodically and report to the Principal;
10. To liaise with other departments and divisions to promote cohesion within the College;
11. To interact with external agencies and social partners in the determination of specific benefits to the Institution, and to assist with the promotions of the Institution’s mission;
12. To attend regular meetings with the Principal and Senior Managers to inform them of the development within the department;
13. To ensure that the departmental office building is properly resourced, and that the College’s equipment and materials are used and secured in accordance with institutional policies;
14. To ensure that the College’s mandate for the department is carried out;
15. To deal with all matters pertinent to the day-to-day administration of the Department; and
16. To undertake other related duties that may be assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:• At least a Master’s degree in Education
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:• Familiarity with, or knowledge of, the operations of an academic institution.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work in a collaborative manner with all stakeholders, including students, faculty and the Ministry of Education.
RemunerationSalary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
