St. George’s, Grenada (September 9, 2011) – Sixteen Grenadians have been accepted to continue their education at the University College of the Caribbean in collaboration with the T.A. Marryshow Community College. In May of this year TAMCC and UCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding to offer Bachelor and Master degree programmes through a blended approach of face-to-face and online classes.

The Orientation, held on September 8 at the TAMCC Tanteen campus, gave students a preview of the College’s programmes and online learning approach. Students were able to see and speak with UCC officials through the use of Skype video conferencing. Mr. Winston Adams, Executive Chairman of UCC, expressed his pleasure in partnering with TAMCC to expand the academic offerings available to the Grenadian public.

The Registrar of TAMCC, Dr. Nigel Gravesande, commended the students on their decision to continue their education and reminded them of the need for a disciplined approach when undertaking online studies. The new students will begin classes next week in the following programmes: Business Administration, Human Resource Management and Information Technology.
