Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) is presently in Guyana to review the Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) with the University Of Guyana (U.G). Registrar of the College Nigel Gravesande and Human Resource Manager Irwin Abraham are&amp;nbsp; meeting&amp;nbsp; with their Guyanese counterpart on ways to further enhance the M.O.U. The meeting will review the activities undertaken during the last year and discuss other areas of collaboration. TAMCC is seeking to get Post Graduate scholarships for its faculty in the areas of Biology and Geography, as well as assistance from the University in carrying out a technical audit of the School of Applied Arts and Technology (S.A.A.T). The College is will also looking for assistance in identifying and recruiting UG graduates to serve as faculty in the School of Applied Arts and Technology (S.A.A.T). In the last year the University of Guyana has provided assistance to the TAMCC Library and Three (3) members of the Library staff received training in various aspects of library operations, which was jointly funded by TAMCC and UG. The University of Guyana formally agreed to accept a number if TAMCC’s Associate Degree Programmes for matriculation into their Bachelors Programme; as a result, a number of TAMCC’s graduates are presently pursuing degrees in Medicine and Computer Science at the University of Guyana. Marryshow Community College has received a gift of Thirty Thousand EC Dollars ($30,000.00) from First Caribbean Bank. The money will be used to outfit a model office for training students in Office Administration. The cheque was handed over to Registrar of the College; Nigel Gravesande during a special reception marking the fifth anniversary of the Bank on Saturday 8th December. Speaking at the function Executive Director of Retail Banking in the Caribbean, Rawle Phillip says First Caribbean Bank sees itself as being a part of the community of Grenada, and the rest of the Caribbean and it is the only bank in the region that allocates one percent (1%) of its profit to support community projects and events. Country Manager of the Bank, Ricardo Charles says they consider this as a gift, not just to the T.A. Marryshow Community College, but a gift to the people of Grenada for the years of support for the bank. In accepting the cheque Registrar of the College Nigel Gravesande hailed First Caribbean Bank as a pioneer in cooperation between the Corporate Community of Grenada and the College. He expressed the gratitude of the entire College and said he hopes this will be a signal for other corporate citizens to join with TAMCC as it strives to deliver quality tertiary education to the people of Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique.Gravesande went on to give the assurance that TAMCC will strive to ensure that the delivery of education in Office Administration will be doubled to meet the requirements of the corporate community, at an internationally acceptable standard.&amp;nbsp;</description><dc:creator>acmajor1</dc:creator><pubDate>Tue, 11 Dec 2007 12:34:00 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">f1397696-738c-4295-afcd-943feb885714:240</guid></item></channel></rss>
