A minimum of 45 credits made up as follows.
Major courses:
A minimum of 30 credits from Introductory Level courses including the compulsory ones.
General Education courses:
COM 101 Gathering and Processing Information (3)
COM 103 Speech and Writing (3)
CAS 101 Caribbean Society and Culture (3)
Philosophy / Religion x 1 (3)
Community Service / Physical Education x 1 (1)
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ASSOCIATE DEGREE
IN SOCIAL WORK
A minimum of 60 credits made up as follows.
Major courses:
A minimum of 42 credits from Introductory Level courses including the compulsory ones.
General Education courses:
COM 101 Gathering and Processing Information (3)
COM 103 Speech and Writing (3)
CAS 101 Caribbean Society and Culture (3)
Science x 1 (3) (If no CXC Maths, MAT101 College Maths (3) is to be done).
Arts & Humanities x 1 (3)
Philosophy/Religion x 1(3)

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE BACCALAUREATE DEGREE
IN SOCIAL WORK
A minimum of 120 credits made up as follows:
Major courses:
A minimum of 42 credits from Introductory Level and 33 credits from Advanced Level courses, including all compulsory courses.
General Education Courses:
A minimum of 45 credits from General Education courses. (No more than 2 courses may be taken from each of the subject areas and no courses can be taken from the other Social Sciences group).
